
The full name of HKORC is Hong Kong Organic Resource Centre. It was established in December 2002 with funding support from the Agricultural Development Fund of the Vegetable Marketing Organization. It is a local non-profit organization to facilitate the development of organic farming in Hong Kong. The certification is operated under HKORC’s subsidiary “Hong Kong Organic Resource Centre Certification Limited” (HKORC-Cert).

HKORC-Cert will conduct a plant visit to check the operation process and audit the records to ensure fulfillment of international organic standards before awarding the organic certification to us.

HKORC is comprised of the Governing Board, Standard Board, Certification Board and Office Staff. The certification company is accredited by the International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements (IFOAM) and ISO17065 and all certifications are recognized by these two accreditation bodies.

Other organic certification found in the market is usually from overseas due to the food’s country of origin. HKORC-Cert is a Hong Kong organization which provides organic certification service to food products, crop production and aquaculture which produced locally.
